  As you drive over the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge you will pass over the Treasure Island Naval Base (exit 4).
  Reaching the 'East Bay' mainland, exit 8 is a short cut to I-880 which expresses (except during rush hours) you south through Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Fremont and, eventually, San Jose.
  In Oakland, the hotels convenient to the Interstates are just off I-880 (ZIP code 94607) and I-580 (ZIP codes 94609, 10 & 12) The hotels closest to I-80 are actually in Emeryville.
